Integrating AI in Education Seminar

Want to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in your school? The Integrating AI in Education seminar, brought to you by CaSPA, will provide you with practical workshops to help teachers and leaders navigate the responsible use of AI in the classroom.

This event is being hosted by MacKillop at our St Peter's Campus over the following dates:

  • Friday 27 June, 1.00pm - 5.00pm
  • Saturday 28 June, 9.00am - 3.00pm

This seminar has been approved by TQI as an ACT Accredited Program (8 hours).

As AI continues to revolutionise education, this seminar explores its transformative potential within the classroom. The seminar will discuss how AI can enhance personalised learning, improve accessibility, reduce the administrative load for teachers, and provide support to students, all while prioritising ethical considerations such as privacy, fairness and transparency. Drawing from a Catholic perspective, the session will reflect on the importance of maintaining human dignity, fostering genuine student voice, and ensuring that AI tools align with valuing integrity of learning. Importantly sessions will consider AI as a tool for critical thinking and creativity, in a way that enhances rather than replaces human learning. Participants will also explore a variety of AI platforms currently available to educators, examining their benefits and challenges in real-world educational settings. This seminar aims to empower education leaders and teachers to integrate AI thoughtfully, creating enriching, ethical learning environments that respect students' agency and foster their growth as individuals.

The seminar will include a series of workshops for education leaders and teachers on the features and functionality of a range of educational AI platforms from Microsoft, Education Perfect, Brisk Teaching, Canva and CeNET.
